22 year old Melinda Bam was selected as the new Miss South Africa at the conclusion of a glittering event at the Sun City Superbowel in the Northwest Province. The 1.7m model will represent her country at the 2012 Miss Universe and/or Miss World pageants, depending on their dates. The first runner-up (and possible Miss World delegate) was Remona Moodley. Thuli Sangweni was third. The top 5 were completed by Rolene Strauss and Sian Schlebusch.

Oh dear - Melinda looks terrible in these photos. But I really liked her video profile. I think the stylist did not do her any favors on the final night. The hair is just all wrong. She definitely needs more volume.

ReplyDeleteI hope Rolene Strauss wins. She's totally goddess. To me Melinda is week to be a strong reclaimer to the Mu title but she has a lot time to trainning so let's see how she works! ;-)
