Miss USA 2017 Preliminary Competition: Everything you need to know

The 2017 Miss USA Preliminary Competition will take place on May 11 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Delegates from the 50 states will compete in evening gowns and swimsuit on stage. This will count for 40% of their total scores and the rest will come from the preliminary interview competition. Ten delegates will be selected to advance to the final stages of the competition on May 14th.

In one of her final duties as Miss USA, the reigning queen Deshauna Barber from the District of Columbia, will co-host the preliminary competition along with former Miss Wisconsin USA, Alex Wehrley.
