Miss District of Columbia wins Miss USA 2016

DeShauna Barber (26), Miss District of Columbia, was just crowned Miss USA 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She stands 1.78m tall and will represent the United States of America at Miss Universe 2016. Chelsea Hardin, Miss Hawaii, finished as the runner-up and will assume the title of the 65th Miss USA should Barber be unable to fulfill her duties. Miss Georgia, Emanii Davis, finished as the second runner-up.

Nadia Mejia from California and Peyton Brown made it to the top 5. Mejia was voted into the top 15 by fans of the pageant.

The delegates from Arkansas, Connecticut, Missouri, South Dakota and Virginia made it to the top 10 before being eliminated. Misses Arizona, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina and West Virginia were included in the final 15.

Love the winner. So many surprises and shocks though. Totally unexpected things happened this year.
