Miss SA 2016: What I Think Might Happen

After months of preparation, appearances, training, fittings, photoshoots and rehearsals, THIS IS IT! South Africa will meet its new queen in just a few hours. Miss South Africa 2016 will be crowned at the Carnival City outside Johannesburg. The winner of the pageant will represent her country at Miss World and/or Miss Universe. Should the winner be unable to compete at both pageants, the runner-up will be sent to the pageant Miss SA can't attend.

We have released our list of favorites, but the judges have made it clear that South Africa should expect a surprise tonight. Regardless of who wins, we hope that she has a fulfilling reign and that her journey is one of incredible growth and fantastic opportunities. We wish each of the top twelve finalists only the very best of luck. We hope that the eleven delegates who walk away without the crown will continue to grow and develop and make South Africa proud.

So, after following their journey and choosing favorites, here's what we think MIGHT happen on that stage tonight!

Miss South Africa 2016: Ntandoyenkosi Kunene

1st princess: Sharon-Rose Khumalo

I feel that it's a close race between these two ladies. Either of them could take it and we will be delighted to follow their journey. Ntando is experienced and she is extremely likeable and relatable. She has a lot of support from the public. Sharon, on the other hand, is a breath of fresh air. We would be equally delighted if she wins the whole thing. She seems to be the pick of the other contestants which is usually quite telling about her nature.

2nd princess: Elizabeth Molapo

Top 5:
Tayla Skye Robinson

Reabetswe Sechoaro

Top 8
Sarah Botes

Luyolo Mngonama

Marciel Hopkins
