Kelsey Schmidt was officially crowned Miss Washington USA 2016 by former Miss USA, Nia Sanchez, recently. Schmidt was originally the first runner-up, but had to assume the title when the winner of the pageant, Stormy Keffeler, resigned following a drunk driving controversy.
