Miss International 2015 Review: The Fighters

Miss International 2015 will be crowned on Thursday, November 5th in Tokyo, Japan. This year 70 delegates are battling it out for the crown. In the last few years, I have started following this pageant, but this year I have to admit that I found it extremely hard to follow the events in Tokyo, Yes, I have been browsing through the photos and I have mixed feelings about the group. I can't totally blame my lack of interest on just a busy work schedule... I guess it's also the fact that I anticipate another boring and outdated pageant on Thursday. Maybe it's also because I know that of all the pageants, this one is the hardest one for me... I usually get it totally wrong, because I have no idea what the judges are looking for. With quite a bit of uncertainty and just relying on my natural instincts, I have divided the contestants into 7 categories. Let's continue with:

The Fighters

Some of the following girls were not always seen as favorites before the pageant, but they have made an impact in Tokyo. Others were mentioned as favorites and delivered when they arrived at the competition. The fighters are the ones that seem to be giving it all to make waves and catch the judges' attention. Whether it's their fashion sense, attitude or just a the desire to represent their country with everything they have in them. They are:

Bolivia: Alejandra Muguertegui

Denmark: Mette Riis Sorenson

Dominican Republic: Irina Peguero

Indonesia: Chintya Fabiola

Kenya: Eunice Onyango

Luxembourg: Natascha Bintz

Panama: Jhasmeiry Herrera

Puerto Rico: Wilmary Moncion-Roman

Thailand: Sasi Sintawee
Bolivia is the one that caught my attention the most (of these girls). She definitely decided to give it her all. I love her fashion sense and she looks like she's having the time of her life. A placement for Kenya would be a major achievement and it would show the world that the Miss International pageant has changed and evolved. Dominican Republic is fierce, but too fierce for Miss International? Puerto Rico is even more beautiful than last year's representative, but will being the contestant from the country currently holding the crown hurt her chances. Thailand is getting a lot of hype and she's very well prepared, or maybe even a bit too prepared.
