2015 EYERIS Awards: Best Production

The nominees are:

Miss Earth

Miss Grand International

Miss Supranational

Miss Universe

Miss World

... and the EYERIS goes to ...

This was another tough decision. 5 out of the 6 pageants I looked at qualified for this award. Miss International did not qualify, because their production is just so sub-par that I just couldn't even figure them in. If it's true that they will start charging franchise fees, I am hoping to see a much better production from them this year, but I'm not holding my breath.

Miss Grand International continued to impress last year with their superb production. They still need to work on a few minor issues, but they have done a sterling job so far. Miss Earth really did a much better job at staging their final last year. Thank goodness they chose a better venue and the production values increased dramatically.Miss Supranational always puts on a great show and Miss World has really started making an effort to liven up their final and bring a more youthful and energetic feel to their production whilst still keeping the essence of the spirit of their pageant. I am looking forward to more improvements this year.

I chose Miss Universe because it's still produced by a network and very entertaining to watch. The format is easy to understand and pageant fans love onstage competition and eliminations. I also enjoyed the inserts and it was nice to see some former title holders. I am not sure if the 3 hour format is a bit too much. It helped that I didn't watch it live I guess.
