The 62nd Miss USA will be crowned on
Sunday, June 16th at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas,
Nevada. 51 delegates representing the 50 states and the District of Columbia
will be competing for the crown. Last year’s winner Olivia Culpo from Rhode
Island went on to win Miss Universe 2012, which meant that her runner-up, Nana
Meriwether from Maryland inherited the Miss USA 2012 title. After 6 months of
appearances alongside Culpo, South African born Meriwether will crown the next
Miss USA this Sunday. The producers have promised changes which could shake up
pageant but they will not reveal any details until the final telecast. There
some really stunning girls competing for the Miss USA title. Let’s hope the
best girl ends up with the Miss USA crown on her head. After observing the 51
delegates for the past three weeks, here is our final review:

MARYLAND: KASEY STANISZEWSKI ******
Kasey is just so fierce and sizzling hot.
She could give Maryland a back-to-back for sure. She has not put a foot wrong
and managed to impress every single time. Maryland could win again, and this
time not by default. The only thing I would change is her evening gown.
MASSACHUSETTS: SARAH KIDD **
Sarah was styled quite well during the
preliminaries and she made quite an impact. She looked especially great in
gown. That being said, she will probably not survive this first cut in this
fierce group.
MICHIGAN: JACLYN SCHULTZ ***
Michigan’s Jaclyn Schultz is really tall
and elegant. She worked really hard and came very well prepared. She definitely
stood out and she could very well be included in the top 16.
MINNESOTA: DANIELLE HOOPER ******
I am obsessed with Miss Minnesota after the
preliminaries. She looked amazing – really elegant and glamorous and she is a
classic beauty. I would not be surprised if she causes an upset and takes it
all. Even though my heart still belongs to Alabama, I would not all be upset if
Danielle stole the crown.
MISSISSIPPI: PAROMITA MITRA **
I was rooting for Paromita to do well. I
love her sultry beauty. But during the preliminaries it was very obvious that
she is REALLY short. So I don’t think that she will place. She is a really
accomplished woman though and should feel proud of her achievements.
MISSOURI: ELLIE HOLTMAN *
Well done to Ellie for winning her state
title and making the most of this experience. The competition is just too
strong this year but I hope she enjoyed being part of this pageant.
MONTANA: KACIE WEST **
Once again, Kacie has nothing to be ashamed
about. She can be happy about a credible performance but the competition is
just too strong.
NEBRASKA: ELLIE LORENZEN *
Nebraska rarely gets much buzz and this
year is no exception. I just don’t see it happening for them this year.
NEVADA: CHELSEA CASWELL ***
I am making the mistake of comparing her to
last year’s Miss Nevada who I just find totally sensational. I am probably underestimating
this girl. She was super sexy in both gown and swimsuit. So she could go much
further than a possible top 16 placement. A lot of people think Nevada will be
in the top 5 again but I am not so sure. I am keeping an eye on her though.
NEW HAMPSHIRE: AMBER FAUCHNER **
Amber was one of the girls I was closely
following as I believed her short hair could make her stand out. Actually I am
not really sure if it worked in her favor. I found her to be “playing it safe”
most of the time. Yes, the short hair made her stand out… but she could have
gone even edgier and that could have really worked in her favor.
