The 62nd Miss USA will be crowned on
Sunday, June 16th at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas,
Nevada. 51 delegates representing the 50 states and the District of Columbia
will be competing for the crown. Last year’s winner Olivia Culpo from Rhode
Island went on to win Miss Universe 2012, which meant that her runner-up, Nana
Meriwether from Maryland inherited the Miss USA 2012 title. After 6 months of
appearances alongside Culpo, South African born Meriwether will crown the next
Miss USA this Sunday. The producers have promised changes which could shake up
pageant but they will not reveal any details until the final telecast. There
some really stunning girls competing for the Miss USA title. Let’s hope the
best girl ends up with the Miss USA crown on her head. After observing the 51
delegates for the past three weeks, here is our final review:

HIGHLY UNLIKELY TO PLACE - *
GEORGIA: BRITTANY SHARP ****
Georgia’s Brittany Sharp was one of the
biggest revelations during the preliminary competition. She was amazing on
stage. I always knew she was one to watch but I was blown away. She is much better
than I thought. She could definitely end up in the top 10.
HAWAII: BRIANNA ACOSTA **
I was disappointed when Miss Hawaii showed
up in Vegas. The hairstyle she chose for the Miss USA Pageant is not that
flattering. She was one of my favorites to do well but I feel she fizzled a
bit. I think she could very well at Miss America. I still think Brianna is a
really gorgeous girl and she did well during the preliminaries… I just wish she
chose a better hairstyle.
IDAHO: MARISSA WICKLAND *
Marissa reminds me so much of Kate Hudson
in How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days. She
has a lovely smile and gorgeous eyes. She looked quite short and I think the
competition is just way too strong this year. I doubt that we’ll hear her name
called.
ILLINOIS: STACEY JURIS *****
A lot of people feel that Stacey could win
the Miss USA Pageant but I am not quite feeling it. I think she’s gorgeous and
she was amazing in the preliminaries but there’s something that is not clicking
for me. I think she’s better in photos than on screen. Of course, that’s just
my taste. There’s a very real possibility that she could do well… REALLY well.
INDIANA: EMILY HART **
Emily was a positive surprise during the
prelims. She looked great and gave two really strong performances. She could be
one to watch but in a competitive year like this one, it is quite likely that
she will miss the cut. She can definitely feel satisfied with her performance
though.
IOWA: RICHELLE ORR **
This Mila Kunis lookalike is definitely
MUCH better on screen than in photos. There is something really interesting
about her. That being said, I feel she was outshined by a lot of stronger
competitors. I don’t feel a placement for Iowa this year.
KANSAS: STACI KLINGINSMITH **
Staci is one of the girls who kind of
disappeared in the crowd. She did not really stand out for the right reasons or
for the wrong reasons. She is pretty much somewhere in the middle of the pack.
KENTUCKY: ALLIE LEGGETT ******
I’ve seen several comments that mentioned
Allie could be just the type of beauty pageant owner, Donald Trump responds
well to. I think she could make it all on her own without being a Trump pick.
She is sexy but sweet and she actually interviews really well too. She could
definitely be a top 5 contender or a surprise winner!
LOUISIANA: KRISTIN GIRAULT ***
Louisiana was always hovering around
somewhere between 10 and 20th place but after the preliminaries she
lost a bit of ground. I feel she is more photogenic than telegenic. She did not
do anything wrong – she was just outshined by several other fiercer and more
competitive beauties. She could still be a surprise inclusion in the top 16
though.
MAINE: ALI CLAIR **
Miss Maine has nothing to be ashamed about
regarding her stint at Miss USA. This is a really competitive year, however, so
her chances of making the cut can be described as unlikely.

I don't see how my hairstyle was bad. It was just curled and parted in my natural part....it's actually the only way I ever do my hair...
