The 62nd Miss USA will be crowned on
Sunday, June 16th at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas,
Nevada. 51 delegates representing the 50 states and the District of Columbia
will be competing for the crown. Last year’s winner Olivia Culpo from Rhode
Island went on to win Miss Universe 2012, which meant that her runner-up, Nana
Meriwether from Maryland inherited the Miss USA 2012 title. After 6 months of
appearances alongside Culpo, South African born Meriwether will crown the next
Miss USA this Sunday. The producers have promised changes which could shake up
pageant but they will not reveal any details until the final telecast. There
some really stunning girls competing for the Miss USA title. Let’s hope the
best girl ends up with the Miss USA crown on her head. After observing the 51
delegates for the past three weeks, here is our final review:

ALABAMA: MARY MARGARET MCCORD ******
Mary Margaret has been one of my major
favorites for the crown since she won her state crown. In fact, she’s been my
overwhelming favorite for the Miss USA title since she arrived in Vegas. She is
absolutely stunning, in great shape, and well-spoken too. She would make an
excellent Miss USA and it would really be the MUO’s loss if they don’t crown
this stunning. The only thing going against her is her height. But for me, Mary
Margaret McCord is Miss USA 2013.
ALASKA: MELISSA MCKINNEY *
Alaska was favored to place last year and
many people were disappointed when their delegate failed to do so. This year
they are not competing as strongly. Melissa seems like a sweet and bubbly girl
but it’s very unlikely that she’ll place.
ARIZONA: RACHEL MASSIE **
I had Rachel in my bubble list until the
preliminary competition. I was a bit let down. Her styling did not do her any
favors and she lacked in stage presence. She is a beautiful girl but I think
she got lost in between a sea of stunners.
ARKANSAS: HANNAH BILLINGSLEY ***
Hannah is an absolutely gorgeous blonde.
She seems really sweet and grounded too. She gave two solid performances in the
preliminaries, so I would not be surprised to see her included in the top 16.
But I think that’s where the road will end for her.
CALIFORNIA: MABELYNN CAPELUJ ***
I didn’t really have Mabelynn on my radar
until she arrived in Vegas. She was just sizzling hot in all the photos I saw
of her. She oozes presence and sex appeal. However, I was a bit disappointed
with a rather lackluster preliminary performance. She could still make it to
the top 16 but I am not so sure about her chances anymore.
COLORADO: AMANDA WILEY ****
Amanda is really gorgeous and she stands
out in a crown. She reminds me of a young and even more beautiful Whitney
Houston. She also has a rocking body. I felt she was outshined by a lot of
other delegates during the preliminaries. She could still easily make the top
16 and if she advances she should turn up the heat and she could definitely end
up in the top 10. I am a huge fan of her beauty.
CONNECTICUT: ERIN BRADY *****
Erin was a huge surprise during the
preliminaries. I loved her performance during the Evening Gown Round. Her Road
to the Crown Interview was also amazing and she could definitely be one of the
major surprises on the final night. A top 5 placement is not out of the
question!
DELAWARE: RACHEL BAIOCCO ***
Will the Delaware curse finally be broken
in the 62nd year of Miss USA? Rachel’s state is the only one to have
never been called into the Miss USA semis. They have sent really strong delegates
in the last few years but they were all left clapping. Rachel’s greatest asset
is her absolutely stunning face. It could go either way but it’s REALLY time
for this curse to be broken!
DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA: JESSICA FIRTH **
Jessica was actually a really positive
surprise during the preliminaries. She competed really strongly. She is the
first Caucasian girl to represent the DOC in almost a decade and a half. The
competition is strong so she will probably just must the cut but she did really
well nonetheless.
FLORIDA: MICHELLE AGUIRRE ******
This sizzling blonde is one to watch out
for. If the Miss USA judges are looking for a blonde winner, she might very
well be the one they crown. She is stunning, in great shape, and she sizzled on
stage. She was also very bubbly during her interviews. What might not work in
her favor, is the Miss Universe Organization’s Miss Latina USA Pageant – which is
absolutely ridiculous by the way.
