Miss South Africa 2017 Semi-Finalists: Meet the Ladies from the Western Cape

Twenty six young women have survived the national screenings to make it through to the next round of the Miss South Africa competition. Gauteng, once again, has the highest number of semi-finalist with a whopping 14 ladies from this region making it. The Western Cape has 6 girls, KwaZulu Natal has 3 and the Eastern Cape, Limpopo and Mpumalanga all got one semi-finalist. These young women will go through another round of competition before the top 12 are announced. The ladies who make it to this round will battle it out for the crown and R1 million in cash on March 25, 2017 at the Sun City Superbowl in South Africa's Northwest Province.

Let's meet the ladies from the Western Cape:

ADE VAN HEERDEN
From: Herold's Bay

Eye For Beauty: I don't know if this is the most flattering photo they could have picked. Not quite seeing a Miss SA winner here, but I think she might be strong enough to move on to the next round.

Eye For Beauty 1st Impression: 6.5/10

CALLIE-JO BOUMAN
From: Bellville, Cape Town

Eye For Beauty: Once again, I don't think the photo is very flattering and I can tell that Callie-Jo will probably be much stronger than this photo indicates. If she's strong in interview and stage projection, she might make it to the next round.

Eye For Beauty 1st Impression: 6.9/10

CHANTE HOLLOWAY
From: Atlantis

Eye For Beauty: There's something really exotic that I love about this girl and I'm looking forward to seeing more of her. I do wish I could fee a bit more energy from this photo, but I think she's got something unique about her.

Eye For Beauty 1st Impression: 7.6/10

DEMI-LEIGH NEL-PETERS
From: Sedgefield

Eye For Beauty: Wow. This photo is sizzling hot. She looks like a supermodel. This is the type of girl the Miss SA Organization really needs if they want to do well at Miss Universe. A huge YES from me based on this photo.

Eye For Beauty 1st Impression: 9.7/10

LOU-MARIE TALJAARD
From: Bellville

Eye For Beauty: She's beautiful for sure and I'm seeing loads of potential, but once again, the photo is a bit odd. I need to see more from her, but I'm really liking what I'm seeing so far.

Eye For Beauty 1st Impression: 8.9/10

OLIN-SHAE DE LA CRUZ
From: Claremont, Cape Town

Eye For Beauty: She's cute, but I'm not sure if that's going to be enough to help her move to the next round. These photos are often deceiving, so I know anything can happen.

Eye For Beauty 1st Impression: 6.0/10

  1. I like Ms De La Cruz, Ms Taljaard, and Ms Nel-Peters the best. What I am surprised about is only 26 delegates, I thought there would be more....
