Miss Ecuador wins Miss Earth 2016

Miss Ecuador, Katherine Espin, was crowned Miss Earth 2016 in Manila, Philippines just a short while ago. She is the 16th Miss Earth and the second woman from Ecuador to win the crown. The new Miss Earth is 23 years old and stands 1.72m tall. Miss Colombia, Michelle Gomes, was named Miss Earth Air. Hot favorite, Stephanie De Zorzi from Venezuela took home the Miss Earth Water title, while Miss Brazil Bruna Zanardo, was named Miss Earth Fire.

The delegates from Vietnam, Russia, Sweden and the United States of America made it to the top 8 before being eliminated after the first Question and Answer round. Misses South Korea, Northern Ireland, Italy, England, Mexico, Macau, South Africa and Australia completed the top 16.

Miss Moldova was chosen as the delegate with the Best Eco Video, while Miss Wales was announced as this year's ECO Warrior.

Hmmm, so glad I did not waste my time following Miss Earth this year. The results are odd again.

  1. Waste your time? It's a beauty pageant for goodness sake. Anyone from these lovely ladies has the opportunity winning the crown. It's as if you hate miss earth? Right?

    1. I am sad that the blogger is like this... I mean, how can you find the result odd when you have never followed it at all? Talk about irony...

  2. I am shocked Philippines did not make the first cut... Ecuador is so beautiful but I still say that the USA got robbed!!! And Venezuela as usual was over rated!!!

    1. I'm glad Imelda didn't make it! What a horrible person, being the host girl and trashing other contestants, plus she wasn't pretty and Venezuela as usual on the top!!! So go and keep cleaning toilets!!!
