Miss South Africa 2015 Semi-Finalists: Meet the ladies from KwaZulu Natal and the Western Cape

The twenty five young ladies in the running for the Miss South Africa 2016 title were presented to the South African public yesterday. Over the coming weeks, they will be whittled down to only 12 who will compete for the title at the Sun City Superbowl in March 2016. The winner of Miss South Africa 2016 will represent South Africa at Miss World and Miss Universe.

Based on the photos, Eye For Beauty Blog's first reaction would be that the ripple effect of Rolene's Strauss' victory at Miss World last year can finally be seen. It seems like we have a strong group of ladies this year and it might very well be because the pageant was thrust back into the limelight after Strauss bagged that coveted blue crown last December.

So, here are the Miss South Africa 2016 top 25 semi-finalists. Let's continue with the ladies from KwaZulu Natal and the Western Cape:

KWAZULU NATAL

Lizel Birkenstock
Umhlanga

Eye For Beauty: Hmmm, I do see some potential with her, but in this strong group, she might get lost in the group. There's a fierceness that I like though. It will be interesting to see if she makes it.
EYE FOR BEAUTY RATING: 6.5/10

Kerusha Kylie Govender
Durban

*Miss Mamelodi Sundowns South Africa 2012
Eye For Beauty: Wow! Wow! Wow! What a stunner! Front-runner alert! I would NOT mind seeing her as the new Miss South Africa next year. She must make it!
EYE FOR BEAUTY RATING: 9.5/10

Zinhle Nkonyane
Pongola

Eye For Beauty: There's something quite striking and captivating about her. Can't really pinpoint it, but she has the X factor. Possible top 12 finalist.
EYE FOR BEAUTY RATING: 7/10

Shanice Smith
Durban

Eye For Beauty: Oh wow. I'm impressed. Doesn't she just have the most gorgeous eyes. She looks serene and sexy at the same time. She could do really well at Miss World and Miss Universe. A favorite!
EYE FOR BEAUTY RATING: 8.5/10

WESTERN CAPE

Marciel Hopkins
Paarl

Eye For Beauty: The Western Cape is not coming in so strong this year, but Marciel is one of their best bets. She has the potential to be transformed into a very worthy top 12 semi-finalist.
EYE FOR BEAUTY RATING: 7.5/10

Lee-Zanda Jonas
Belhar, Cape Town

Eye For Beauty: She's probably the best from the Western Cape this year. I think she's really very pretty and hope to see her do well.
EYE FOR BEAUTY RATING: 8/10

Ronette Chambers
Camps Bay, Cape Town

Eye For Beauty: I'd be a bit surprised to see her make it to the top 12 in this group. There are some really strong ladies here.
EYE FOR BEAUTY RATING: 6/10

Sinovuyo Witbooi
Kuils River, Cape Town

Eye For Beauty: The field is so strong that I'd be surprised to see her make the cut.
