Miss World 2012 Review: Germany - Hungary

The 62nd Miss World will be crowned this Saturday, August 18th, at the Dongsheng Fitness Stadium Center in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China. 116 amazing young ladies are competing to become the next Miss World. Ordos welcomed the girls with open arms and it seems like they are going all out to show the world what they can done. The stage is looking amazing and the opening ceremony looked fantastic with all the traditional dancers and the huge LED screens. I hope we will be treated with a grand and exciting final night. The contest was very long again... four weeks! I am sure the girls must be exhausted by now but I also know it has been a fantastic experience for them. It was hard to follow the contest at times as the girls rarely wear their sashes. To know who's who, you have to be able to either recognize them or be able to decipher what's written on those small name tags. The groups is so strong this year, though, that it is almost impossible to say who will be the next Miss World. There are so many gorgeous and deserving young ladies and I wish them all good luck and the very best in life!!!

***** In the running for a spot in the top 7
**** Potential top 15 semi-finalist
*** Could be in the top 30
** Will possibly miss the cut
* Very likely to miss the cut

Here's what I think:

GERMANY: Martina Ivezaj **
Germany’s Martina Ivezaj is actually one of the pleasant surprises of the competition for me. She is much better than I anticipated and she has a very beautiful face. However, she seems to be quite a demure beauty. So, even though I think she is lovely, I don’t think that she will place.

GIBRALTAR: Jessica Louise Baldachino *
Miss Gibraltar seems like a bright, well-spoken young lady but sadly I don’t think a placement is on the cards for them this year.

GREECE: Maria Tsagkaraki ***
Miss Greece is insanely gorgeous and very sexy. Although I’m hoping that she’ll do well, I also think that she might be too sexy for Miss World. She could be better suited for Miss Universe. Still, I’m hoping that the stunner from Greece will at least crack the top 30.

GUADELOUPE: Brigitte Golabkan ****
Here we have another one of my super favorites. She is just gorgeous… what a face! In my opinion, she SHOULD be Queen of the Caribbean but I think there’s another favorite for that title. It would be awesome to see her country in the top 15 though!!! Wishing the gorgeous Miss Guadeloupe all the very best of luck!!!

GUAM: Jeneva Bosko ***
This is such a tough year because there are so many stunners. Jeneva is another girl who could do extremely well in the competition but there are just too many amazing young ladies to choose from. I am worried because I think she might have gotten lost in the crowd and she hasn’t had much luck in the challenge events. If she impressed the judges during the interview round, she has a great shot of making it to the top 30 though!

GUATEMALA: Monique Aparicio **
She has such a unique look that makes her stand out amongst the crowd. And based on the photos I’ve seen, she’s also lots of fun and she seems to be well-liked by the other girls. It’s always wonderful to see when girls make the most of this experience because it truly is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

GUYANA: Arti Cameron **
Just to get to the Miss World Competition, the delegates from Guyana need to go through a lot of hardships trying to secure sponsorship, etc. So, I’m glad she got the opportunity to compete and I think she can feel very proud of the way she has represented her country.

HONDURAS: Jennifer Valle *
Jennifer changed her hair color for the Miss World Pageant. I guess it was a decision made in the hope that it will help her stand out more. Yes, she is beautiful but she lacks the wow-factor.

Miss Hong Kong has impressed me a lot. She’s one of the best representatives I have seen from her country and she seems to have an amazing personality. I’ve seen a few video clips of her and she seems really likeable too. I would not be surprised to see her in the top 30… or she could even go further.

HUNGARY: Tamara Cserhati *
Miss Hungary has a great face and a beautiful body. Her height will probably count against her. And as many beauties of her region, she did not do enough to stand out. In fact, I did not see that many photos of her. The Eastern European girls really need to learn to make the most of the experience and get their photographs out there!
