The beautiful Bali Islands have been chosen to host the 2013 Miss World Pageant. This exciting news was announced today when the reigning Miss World, Ivian Sarcos, along with Miss World CEO, Julia Morley, and the reigning Miss Indonesia, Astrid Ellena, visited the offices of the Governor of Bali. The current plans are to stage the 2013 pageant in September with the attendance of about 130 delegates from around the world. This will be the first time that Indonesia will be hosting the Miss World finals. It is expected that the final will take place at the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park Governor Pastiko welcomed the Miss World delegation in Bali and thanked them for choosing the islands as the venue for the 2013 Miss World Pageant. The governor further mentioned that 2013 will be a busy year for Bali as several events including an APEC summit, the Bali Democracy Forum, the World Culture Forum, and of course Miss World will take place there.
